Acupuncture in the treatment of psychogenic erectile dysfunction: first results of a prospective randomized placebo-controlled study.

Onderzoekers van het   bekende Ludwig-Boltzmann-Instituut in Duitsland onderzochten in een prospectieve studie het effect van acupunctuur bij 22 patiënten met psychogene erectile dysfunctions (pED). Patiënten werden specifiek voor impotentie behandeld, of voor hoofdpijn (placebo groep). De a cupunctuur specifiek voor ingezet voor impotentie ingezet gaf een goede klinische response in 68.4% van de patiënten t.o.v. slechts 9% in de placebo groep (P=0.0017).
